emphas!s designed a comprehensive interior and exterior wayfinding signage for the 52,000 sq. ft Fred M. Rogers Media and Education Center and the St. Vincent College campus. The simple and functional design is inspired by the Benedictine Order of German monks who founded St. Vincents. The cradling black post system references the robes of the order. The brown and blue color palette speaks to the monks’ understated lifestyle and appreciation of nature (earth and sky). In addition, emphas!s used reclaimed wood from American Walnut trees found on the campus to fabricate the interior signs.
